Dr. Raymond Davys, RIP, December 26th 2012

It is with deep regret that the Department of Anaesthesia, St Vincent's University Hospital, learned of the death of Dr. Ray Davys (94yrs), retired Consultant Anaesthetist, St Vincent's Hospital, July 1st 1947 - October 31st 1985.

A founding father of Anaesthesiology in Ireland, a former Dean and member of the Foundation Board of the faculty of Anaesthetists, RCSI. Ray's contribution to Irish Anaesthesia and to the Department in SVUH was immense and his legacy has continued to the present day.

To his family we offer our sincere condolences, may he rest in peace.

SVUH defeats the Mater hospital at Anglesea Road 27-13 in a thrilling encounter, December 2012.

Dublin Hospital's Rugby Cup was inaugurated in 1881, and it's the oldest rugby competition in Ireland.
